My Poem for Teacher's Write Today

Missing my grandkids right now, especially my grand-daughter. She has called me "Girlfriend or Grandma Girlfriend" since she was two. When here she is my writing buddy. We are actually writing a picture book together. But they moved so I don't see her and her brother as often. I'm really missing her today so I wrote this for her.

Haylee

I miss you since you moved away
I feel so lost inside.
I don't know what to do or say
a part of me has died.

Girlfriend you'd shout so loud and clear
and run into my arms.
The grandest words that I could hear
my heart it warms and charms.

to e a friend you'll always be
and oh so much, much more.
Oh grand-daughter you hold the key
that opens my heart's door.

Two Different Worlds by Hayden

Two different worlds

In the ocean the moon glows
There’s a hidden reef
The water still flows
You can feel the movement of a leaf

There’s a hidden reef
Above the reef boats zoom on by
You can feel the movement of a leaf
Birds fly through the sky

Above the reef boats zoom on by
The water still flows
Birds fly through the sky

In the ocean the moon glows.

A Book Can Be anything by Naydelin

A Book Can Be Anything…

A book can be anything…
A book can be peaceful
Exciting or dramatic
A book can be loud or scary

A book can be anything
It can be perfect
It can describe who you are
It can be the worst
But there is no other like it

A book can be anything
From small, big, tall
Or fat, it can be 10,00
Pages long but the story
Will always be the
Same you just need to

find the perfect one.

My Beloved Teacher by Samantha

My Beloved Teacher

My beloved teacher
I closely listen to each word you say
Saying how good of a teacher you are
But you just move me away
Yet I still talk from a distance

You gave me three chances
You took one away from me
Yet I still talk and get moved
At least I am closer to you
How good of a teacher you are

I talk yet once again
You say this is my last straw
Now you moved me next to you
But at least I’m by your side

Thank you my beloved teacher.

My Special Brother by Emory

My Special Brother

My special brother.
He is very crazy and weird.
He has autism so he is very complex.
He can sing, run and dance.
He is what makes everyone smile.

One day he will change the world.
Someday his dreams will be fulfilled.
And even though nobody knows
If he has dreams or not,
I hope he will discover and explore.

My brother is as cute as a button.
He despises fruit unless its mashed up,
Remembers every word of most songs,
And with his laugh and crooked smile

It makes me realize how lucky I am.

Flowers by emory

Flowers

You sway in the wind and lean towards the sun,
Where fields of flowers like you come together for fun

At night you sleep and close your petals,
At day you bloom unlike sepals,

You help the world and everyone in it,
To make you and me a better environment.

You’re the inspiration to imagination,
To help create young minds awaken.

There you are and there you shall stay,

Until we meet again some other day.
